wattss and Pixii sign framework agreement for battery storage in Switzerland
Strategic partnership strengthens European technology in critical infrastructures
Frauenfeld/Darmstadt, June 22, 2026 The wattss Group and Pixii have signed a framework agreement for the supply of larger quantities of battery storage systems for the Swiss market. With this agreement, the two companies deepen their strategic partnership and lay the foundation for the broader deployment of European storage technology in Switzerland.
wattss distributes Pixii’s battery storage solutions in Switzerland through a network of qualified specialist partners, including selected distribution system operators. The collaboration aims to bring battery storage to market in various applications, specifically and on a larger scale. A particular focus is on the use of European components in critical infrastructures. With the increasing electrification and digitalization of energy supply, issues of supply security, technological sovereignty, cybersecurity, and supply chain resilience are gaining further importance. Against this background, wattss and Pixii deliberately rely on storage solutions “made in Europe.”
wattss focuses on the seamless integration of storage systems into existing infrastructure, grid, and software environments. The focus is on solutions that reliably integrate into existing technical systems and meet the requirements of grid operators, industrial companies, and other operators of critical facilities.
At the same time, Pixii continues to develop its product range and expand its offering of modular battery storage systems. This enables the company to meet various requirements in the areas of grid stability, load management, self-consumption optimization, and the integration of renewable energies.
With the framework agreement, wattss and Pixii create the basis for long-term cooperation in the Swiss market. Both companies aim to contribute to the further development of a secure, flexible, and future-proof energy infrastructure.
Marco Rüegg, CEO of the wattss Group:
“The framework agreement with Pixii is a strategic step for us. Together, we strengthen European storage technology in Switzerland and focus on secure, integrated solutions for critical infrastructures.”
Volker Rossmann, Managing Director Europe, Pixii:
“The strengthened cooperation with wattss is an important step for Pixii to further enhance our presence in Switzerland. Together, we aim to provide storage solutions that particularly meet the requirements for security, flexibility, and European technology.”
